History:
It all started out as a young singer who loved singing metal! Yes that's where Shawn comes in...He has had a very good musical voice since age 5! He's been singin metal since age 8, but now he's singing metal/rock in the band Crushed Skullz. When he was deciding to make a band at age 14, thats when he found Preston Johnston at a middle school talent show playing the song Paranoid (Black Sabbath). He didn't know that Preston has played guitar since he was about 12, he also was very surprised when he knew that Preston went to the exact same school as he did! Preston and Shawn knew that they had the main parts of the band, but everyone knows a band isnt a band without a drummer and a bass guitar, so that when Jacob comes in. Now Jacob has a different story, he went to a completly different school. About 30 miles away! The way that they found him was through Preston. Preston went to one of his concerts (Machanical Skies), when Preston found out that the band wasn't interested in Jacob anymore, thats when he decided to ask him himself! Although Jacob was very much interested we still didn't have a bassist... Thats when we put up fliers looking for a bassist, we had to have gone through about 20 and up additions! Thats when the band fell in love with the young 14 year old bassist from Tooele, Utah. They knew that he was the on! So the 4 started performing at mini concerts and talent shows, but now today, they have sold over 200,000 tickets to their shows! They have always loved to perform, and always will, we stand strong, and live to entertain fans worldwide, if you ever see us, don't be too afraid to ask questions, we would love to answer! The members of Crushed Skullz don't seem to have a lot in common with eachother, it seems like the only two things that they do have in commin is, heir all juniors in Tooele High School, and their love for music! Lets start with Shawn... Shawn for many years (9-10) has liked girls. He loves spending money on them. He really loves to buy them clothes, food, shoes, and andything that they want and/or need. Although Shawn is only 16, it is extremly unbelievable how much money he has spent on numerous girls, and alone, how much girls he has been with... Shawn's hobbies include: Singing- He loves singing numerous ammounts of metal and rock songs. He preffers to sing songs that we have made, but play any good sounding song, and he will learn it instantly! Dancing- Oh man, Shawn sure know's how to dance! Shawn has not missed one high school dance... Wether he has to pay or its free, he'll be there, but thats Shawn for you! Next lets do Preston. Wow I don't know where to start for him, there is just so many things that he likes. I guess we will just start with his wounderful guitar abilities. Preston has been playing guitar for 5 years now, we wouldn't call him the best guitar player ever, but my oh my he sure is gettin there! Preston also likes spending time with his girlfriend he again spends quite a bit of money, but unlike Jacob, tries to stick with one girl... Preston's hobbies include: Riding- He loves to ride with his girl on his free time, wether its just around the block, or around town! Playing guitar- There has not been one day that Preston hasn't played his guitar for under 30 minutes a day! If he didn't have his guitar, he don't know what he would do! Collecting coins- Preston has a huge collection of coins, coins from as early as the 1800's, he's probably got over $150,000 worth of them! So thats what Preston's hobbies and likes are, so now lets move onto Jacob! Jacob mainly just likes 3 things, and 3 things only... Those things are: Cars, music, and girls, he can't live without them! Although he dosn't really have any hobbies, well he does have one, that is collecting camaro's. Every last cent that he makes at concerts and shows, he puts toward camaro's! He's so far got 3! He loves the band, loves his drumset, and he loves to play! Last but certainly not least, lets talk about David! David is an extremely awsome bass player! Crushed Skullz would never be complete without him! He loves to play his bass, and he really loves to play guitar hero and rockband (you can probably tell what he plays). David loves to hang out with his friends, and spend lots of time with his family. David's hobbies include: Swimming- Anytime, or anywhere, he always says that he has to swim at least once or twice a day! He says he can't do aything if he doesn't... Running- He loves staying in shape and running for fun! Even sometimes before shows, the way he warms up is, yep running! David is a very important member of Crushed Skullz!! Inspirations:
Many bands have inspired Crushed Skullz, wether its a small band performing at high school, or a famous band playing on the big screens, but there is only a few that got them where they are today! AC/DC: One word for this band, Legendary! AC/DC have so many hit singles that its not even funny, very big inspiration for us! Atreyu: Shawn especially loves this band, he loves everything from the vocals to the instraments. What can I say, they are a great band! Black Sabbath: We all love this band! Who doesn't? Just Ozzy and Toni alone are two of the most inspirational people in rock history! Bullet For My Valentine: Another great band (David's favorite), we have been working on two songs: Tears Don't Fall, and Waking The Demon. We almost have them both done, but we will let you know! Bon Jovi: Another inspiration, Living On A Preyer, and You Give Love A Bad Name, are some very fun songs to play! Guns N' Roses: Ah yes, another very good band, Slash is amazing, and Axl is amazing, two of the most famous people in our book! We love them! Metallica: One of Preston's favorites! Metallica has some hit singles back when they first started! Metallica is great! Poison: One of our goals is to do an opening act for this band! We have been to every Poison concert in Utah! They never was, and never will get old! Who could forget, the most important inspiration, Queen! We have done 2 or 3 Queen tributes, and we love them! RIP Freddie!
